Retro Wood Racket Benefit Tourney for Multiple Sclerosis

Come play in a tournament reminiscent of the golden decade of tennis: the 1970’s. All players must use wooden rackets and the entry fee goes directly to the National MS Society to fund research and programs to support individuals with Multiple Sclerosis. Prizes will be awarded for the most authentic 70’s tennis player look for men and women but players are not required to dress in the 70's style and can wear modern clothing. The format will be an 8 game pro set, with a 7 point tiebreaker played at 8-8. A backdraw is included for players losing the first round and wood rackets are available for players who need to borrow one. Feel free to come out to watch the action or donate to the cause even if you are not able to play.

Divisions: Men’s Open Singles, Men’s Open Doubles, Women’s Open Singles, Women’s Open Doubles and Mixed Open Doubles. Juniors age 13 and up with tournament experience welcome.

Dates: July 19th-20th. Matches may start as early as 8 am both days.

Location: The Middleton High School courts on Parklawn across from the Middleton Public Pool.

Tournament Deadline: All tournament entry forms must be received by July 14th.

Rain: If the weather looks questionable please call Kalla Schaefer at (608) 220-8956 to check if matches are running on time or need to be rescheduled.
